PD Topical Classes Announced at Live Oak Family Resource Center

These Positive Discipline Topical Classes will be offered on 3 main areas:

1) Positive Time Outs / Tiempo Fuera Positivo [en Español]
2) Digital Media & Positive Discipline [in English)
3) Sibling Rivalry [in English]

When: One Saturday a month, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. (7/20, 8/10 & 11/14)
Where: Live Oak Family Resource Center, 1740 17th Avenue
Cost:  $5 for each class, scholarships available, childcare for $5/class

Digital Media & Positive Discipline: Saturday, August 10, 10 AM –12 PM [register by August 7th]
-Is your child acting aggressive or rebellious after playing video games?
-Does your teen spend all day texting?
-Do you wonder how much TV is too much?
-Learn about using the tools and strategies of Positive Discipline to set effective limits and create family guidelines for the use of computer, cell phone and other digital media

Sibling Rivalry: Saturday, September 14, 10 AM—12 PM [register by September 11th]
-Siblings are not necessarily born to be best friends but the good news is parents can have an active role in helping siblings respect and care for each other
-Gain valuable information on this topic and acquire skills
-Look at the role of birth order and it’s impact on children’s development
-Become aware of things parents do that foster rivalry
-Actively practice parenting tools that keep parents in a neutral position
