Nga Trinh-Halperin serves as the Executive Director of PDCR. Nga has engaged with nonprofits and public agencies for over 25 years as a consultant, director, board member, and volunteer. She has a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and Masters in Public Administration from San Jose State University and is certified in Teaching Parents with Positive Discipline and Positive Discipline in the Classroom. Nga also serves as the Development Catalyst for YES!, a social change organization committed to developing transformation leadership and movements all around the globe. She is proud to be mom of two boys, Milo and Khai, and partner to Justin for 25 years.
Steve Weiss serves as Program Manager for PDCR. Steve graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Community Studies (with a focus on youth empowerment and education), and a Minor in Language Studies with a focus on Spanish. He later earned his Master of Social Work degree from San Jose State University. Prior to, in between, his formal education, Steve has worked in several capacities — most notably as an AmeriCorps*VISTA, a Teacher, a Youth Advocate, a Community Organizer, and a Social Worker. Steve has developed extensive knowledge around issues pertaining to power, privilege, and oppression, as well as culturally-responsive strategies to address violence and inequity in communities.
